Lisa Fine Moses has dedicated her career to aggressively and passionately representing those facing criminal charges. She started her legal career as a Colorado State Public Defender and then continued her work in criminal defense in private practice.
Lisa believes that people charged with crimes are facing an uphill battle in our criminal justice system. She works tirelessly to advocate for each individual that she represents, believing that every person deserves the best defense possible. She is devoted to a client centered style of representation.

Her trial experience ranges from DUIs to First Degree Murder, in municipal, State and Federal Courts, gaining acquittals for her clients in all categories, including multiple first degree murders, sexual assaults, fraud, domestic violence and DUIs. Lisa Moses, with Rob Werking as co-counsel, gained notoriety amongst the Colorado Criminal Defense Bar when they won two Felony Murder (First Degree Murder) jury trials within 3 months of each other in 2014. While other attorneys claim to be “criminal trial attorneys”, Lisa Moses has a proven track record proving her to be Denver’s Premier Criminal Defense Lawyer.
Lisa is a frequent lecturer throughout Colorado, speaking and teaching about various aspects of criminal defense and client centered representation. Ms. Moses teaches other attorneys trial practice and procedure, cross examination of expert witnesses, sentencing mitigation, and persuasive opening and closing statements. Her recognition as an outstanding teacher is apparent by the number of requests she receives to teach in the Denver Metro area as well as throughout the nation. She has been invited to teach at the prestigious National College of Criminal Defense in Macon, Georgia.

Lisa grew up in Aurora, Colorado. She attended Smoky Hill High School. She then received her B.A. from Colorado College and her J.D. from the University of Denver. In between college and law school, she worked as a VISTA volunteer – working with homeless youth in Chicago.
